IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a highly-qualified Software Developer/Database Administrator for our project at JBSA Randolph AFB, TX. The selected candidate will refine and update AETC Financial Management Tool Suite (AFMTS) system software and databases through coding efforts and support installation, configuration and administration of system and developer software.


Candidate will need to provide comprehensive compliance support. Read and understand Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements and update system to bring into compliance. Write and submit documentation and supporting evidence into auditing system. Work with Air Force auditors to further understanding of requirements and resolve issues.


Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with managers, clients, users, auditors and AF leadership to understand underlying issues, solve problems and achieve high customer satisfaction. Be a great team player.


Provide database administration and maintain supporting logic. Require knowledge of Microsoft database and developer technology. Program using VB and C# languages with .NET framework. Update and maintain ASP.NET website and WPF application code, MS SQL-Server jobs, SQL stored procedures, and SQL Integration Services packages.

Qualifications Required:


  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • 4+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

  • 4+ years experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET.

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense authentication systems (e.g. AKO), data models, terminology and information security requirements.

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).

  • Must have Active IT-2 Clearance, or Full Secret Clearance, or completed NAC-LC investigation.

  • DoD 8570 IAT-II Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and develop software using Microsoft .NET framework. Update MS Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application code in C# to support changes and fixes. Design interfaces and update website code using ASP.NET/VB.NET in Microsoft Visual Studio.

  • Configure, operate, maintain, backup and administer databases using Microsoft Server SQL 2016 and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems. Ensure continuous database availability, monitor available space on servers and check backup routine success. Perform capacity planning to maintain databases. Test database restoration procedures.

  • Maintain documented COOP and Schedule of backup and data restoration procedures, to include daily, incremental, and full back up schedules.

  • Ensure data is stored and secured according to DoD regulations and best practices with industry database management techniques. This includes encryption of sensitive data elements such as personally identifiable information (PII), normalizing databases, performance monitoring and fine-tuning of database operations and access control security to provide data confidentiality as well as availability for authorized users.

  • Plan, design, enforce and audit security controls, policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to data. Responsible for keeping software up to date with required STIGs and RMF controls.

  • Create new or update existing technical documentation based on requirements. Help maintain documentation for data restoration, configuration, interfaces, and operation of the server and database. Help create/maintain documentation for operation plans, security plans, and monitoring plans. Write documentation depicting or detailing technical diagrams, specifications, database design, architecture of the system, external system integration, business and logical processes, and other capabilities.

  • Monitoring changes to the system throughout the development cycle.

  • Establishing and administering database users and roles.

  • Managing and tuning database imports, exports, log files, and objects.

  • Monitoring performance, background processes, database views, schema objects, table space, indexes, logs, and synonyms.

  • Allocating resources.

  • Tuning PL-SQL statements, database performance and maintaining stored procedures.

Non-Essential Functions:


  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Physical Demands:


While performing duties of the job, incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.


Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
