What does this role look like?

You will be responsible for performing outbound sales calls, including cold-calling, lead follow-up and sales qualification, to develop a portfolio of buying customers while meeting or exceeding call quotas.

Some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • Building relationships with potential new and existing customers. Identifying customer requirements and expectations while finding supply chain solutions to capture new business.
  • Generating leads and capturing new business outside of current customer base through phone call, email, LinkedIn and other mediums. Maintaining a full pipeline of opportunities and targeting achievable accounts while diligently updating our CRM on leads and follow ups.
  • Meeting and exceeding annual budgets. Meeting and exceeding minimum KPI requirements such as new revenue growth, multiple supply chain service sells to new and current customers, call counts, current customer revenue growth.
  • Increasing supply chain services and revenue streams with current key accounts through cross-selling and up-selling the company's product and services portfolio.
  • Challenging status quo with effective solutions and improvements to achieve departmental sales goals.
  • Becoming a trusted voice for the customer to leverage our product and exceed expectations for their supply chain needs.
  • Utilizing customer relationship management tools to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecasting and prioritizing to achieve sales goals.

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of sales experience, including cold-calling and the sale of third-party logistics services.
  • Knowledge of industry-related issues in transportation, supply chain management and use of technology in logistics.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word.

  • You manage employee and client relationships to achieve specific goals for generating and maintaining sales of products and services.
  • You build relationships with current and new accounts while sharing previous experience and/or expertise to fellow co-workers and customers.
