Senior Director Justice Account Lead

The Perspecta Federal Civilian State and Local (CSL) business group is a $1B business across 42 states. We support 13 of the Nations cabinet level departments and city, county, and state governments. The organization is deeply engrained in multiple citizen-facing operations including: Immigration, First Responders, Taxes, Voting, Student Aid, Cybersecurity, Banking, Housing, and U.S. Mail. We deliver next-generation capabilities spanning Cloud, Cyber, Agile DevOps, and IT optimization.

We are hiring a Justice Account lead to join our team. This position is key to supporting our Diplomacy and Justice segment with a focus on leading teams, driving new business, developing effective internal and external relationships, shaping the future, and delivering solutions for our clients. This role supports a business unit with clients in the Justice markets, including: U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Marshals, Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and more.

The Senior Director is an entrepreneur who wants to own and grow our Justice business. The successful Senior Director brings proven experience (with tangible outcomes and results), a can-do attitude, an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, and a leadership and communication style required to lead a diverse, dispersed, and growing business. The Senior Director must have an established record of creating, developing and maintaining client relationships, with the ability to communicate strategically with clarity and tact. The Senior Director must lead by example and instill a culture of both autonomy and accountability, building clear linkages between account strategies and the specific goals of the teams and individuals. The ability to balance long-term (big picture) and short-term implications of individual decisions is essential. The Senior Director must act with impeccable professionalism, ethics, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the $20M+ business portfolio and sets the strategic and operating plan for the business.
  • Responsible for directing, planning and operating the performance unit
  • Ensures achievement of short and long-range objectives, budgets and operating plans of the business unit.
  • Develops and directs the portfolio for successful implementation of contracts and customer relationships
  • Leads the development of workforce through successful execution of company provided training and development programs through all levels of the organization. Builds a strong leadership team that identifies and develops their workforce.
  • Builds a strong team that focuses on the attraction and retention of the best talent.
  • Works collaboratively with other account leads and leadership to effectively deliver the priorities and objectives of the business unit, segment and Company
  • Works effectively and collaboratively with the leaders and employees of the functional service center.
  • Serves as a leader of the company to clients, industry groups, governmental agencies and the general public.
  • Advises on enterprise wide growth strategies and initiatives aimed at differentiation of services and delivery, enhanced margins, increased competitiveness, and industry thought leadership.
  • Performs financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the business unit, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Drive growth in collaboration with Business Development and Operational resources; must deliver a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with P/L and Budget and heavy client engagement. Must have a proven track record of successfully managing profitable programs and providing strong deliverables.
  • 15 years of progressive industry experience in growing and operating programs and businesses in high end IT solutions, services
  • This position must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security clearance at the appropriate level for the position.
  • Relationships and experience in the justice market. DOJ and FBI preferred.
  • Deep understanding of how strategy and solutions fit into an organizations holistic customer experience; ability to see the bigger picture, influence and execute accordingly
  • Ability to identify the enabling technologies and business capabilities required to develop them to further the enterprise growth and innovation
  • Business influencer, and exceptional leadership skills, strong motivator, clear communication and clear focus in achieving goals, ability to communicate with and align senior stakeholders against a common goal.
  • Acumen on direct and indirect cost control, federal regulations, cost accounting, pricing, competitive analysis
  • Experience in operations, management of multi-contract cost center, solutions design, and sales
  • Experience driving organic and new business growth, including serving as the lead of new business pursuits
  • Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations
  • Top line revenue growth experience of $100M
  • Demonstrated expertise in top and bottom line growth
  • Rigorous operational practices with history of achieving plan
