The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the Administrative team, primary responsibility is as the receptionist while supporting the administrative department, executives and Lynden International service centers system-wide by performing various administrative tasks as well as supporting the accounts receivable department. Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently, as well as be a team player is required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The receptionist duties includes greeting and directing visitors and callers. Maintains various logs and keeps the area clean.

Works with the Accounts Receivable department by gathering billing documentation. Will work with our offices to ensure billing information is correct. May prepare billing information for customers. Inputs into the billing data base. Maintains excel spreadsheets.

Responsible for the maintaining the mail distribution and outgoing shipping, including international shipping and the necessary documents.

Administration duties include but are not limited to: preparing ID badges for the company, manage off-site document storage, maintains office supplies, supports set-up and cleaning for office functions. Primary contact for equipment issues, contacting vendor for repair and on-going service needs, including the company van.

Assists on projects as needed.

Predictable and consistent attendance required. This position opens the office so on-time arrival is crucial.


High school diploma required. 2-3 years of office receptionist experience preferred.

Must have current Washington state drivers license, good driving record.

Intermediate user of Microsoft Office products.

Experience working independently and handling a variety of tasks meeting deadlines.

Must have strong communication(written and verbal) and organizational skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and to handle objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
