Description



The Client Associate (CA) role is a sales support position, typically providing dedicated operational and sales support to multiple Financial Advisors (FA's). Incumbents may also on a regular basis support office initiatives, in addition to the businesses of particular FA's. For established clients, the CA will often serve as the most frequent point of contact with Merrill Lynch. Fully registered CA (Series 7, 63, 65, & 66). Fully paid or partially paid by the FA.



Specific Description



This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the ongoing administrative needs of a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch. The position will primarily provide support by assisting with preparation for client meetings, joining meetings to document conversations, add notes to our Salesforce, distribute follow up tasks to appropriate team members and assist with follow up communication to our clients.



The individual will also have the opportunity to participate in the following activities as needed:



+ The Client Associate will assist with calendaring and scheduling activities, assist in setting up meetings, and work to the successful completion of assigned project work.

+ Manage calendar including the coordination of the complex and shifting schedule of the team, making travel arrangements for all out of town engagements as well as reservations.

+ Prepare letters, notes, cards

+ Manage incoming/outgoing mail and email account for the Managing Director

+ Assist with managing team expenses

+ Greet clients for office meetings.

+ Answer team phones, screens all meeting requests and inbound phone calls to determine priority level

+ Participate in weekly team meetings, taking detailed notes to report back effectively to team members. Prepare agenda, add items as needed, follow-up on items

+ Provide assistance at client and prospect events.

+ Use technology skills to maintain LinkedIn database and Salesforce management tool. Focused attention on keeping all documentation up to date and accurate.

+ Additional responsibilities as required.

+ Client Associate must be able to be trusted with highly confidential information.

+ Registrations will not be required for this position.



Qualifications



+ Undergraduate degree preferred, Minimum of 1+ years professional or relevant internship experience required.

+ Series 7 & 63/65 or 66 registration not required

+ Some basic knowledge of investment and banking products, policies & procedures would be helpful.

+ Strong client service & technical skills (MS Word & Excel).

+ Strong communication, time management and organizational skills are required.
