Edelman Digital PNW is seeking an Analytics Manager with experience in advertising, digital marketing, data strategy, data storytelling, and/or business analysis. This person will be a critical contributor in supporting and defining the growth of the data driven and analytics solutions we provide clients to inform insights, actions and prove business impact.



The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience as an analytics practitioner, ideally from an agency or consulting environment. Demonstrable versatility in prior work is strongly preferred, with capabilities across a variety of industries, deliverable types, and/or channels. The most important skills, however, are a willingness to learn, a drive to ask hard questions and deliver hard answers, a strong collaborative nature, and a passion for data storytelling.



This person can sit in either our Seattle or Portland offices.




What you will do:


  • Lead measurement strategy and execution on one-off or retained projectsWork with client teams at the onset of projects to determine key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish systems for data collection and measurement

  • Work closely with various teams to help collect relevant data, conduct meaningful analysis and compile the insights needed to achieve communications and business goals

  • Solve problems creatively through analysis, translating complex data sets into clear and useful observations and insights

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement based on data and provide recommendations which support business objectives

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to create relevant measurement and optimization best practices.

  • Communicate technical concepts, procedures, and requirements in plain terms to client and internal stakeholders. Strong, concise writers preferred.

  • Compile regular and ad-hoc reports, drawing upon analytics to optimize campaign performance

  • Manage tasks and deliverables to internal and client timelines

  • Identify opportunities for analytics support in new and existing work

  • Forecast level of effort and associated hours for tasks

  • Divide tasks between yourself and supporting resources

  • Coach supporting resources on executional needs and operational excellence



Qualifications:


  • Must have at least four years of experience working in digital media metrics and measurement.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build and use complex formulas and employ pivot tables.

  • Must have mastery of PowerPoint, with the ability to present findings in a simple, visually appealing, and informative format.

  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to distill raw data into useful observations and actionable insights, preferably with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)

  • Experience with Boolean operators, and comfort in building or updating Boolean queries, including but not limited to queries in social listening tools such as Sprinklr, Spredfast, Sysomos, or Crimson Hexagon.

  • Experienced with Adobe Analytics, Googles Analytics, native social media analytics platforms and/or third-party social media measurement tools. Adobe Analytics experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong presentation skills, with an emphasis on clear presentation of information, responsiveness, and adaptability under pressure.

  • Experience working with (or interested in) data visualization tools and creative ways to convey information and trends.

  • Academic coursework in computer science, mathematics and/or statistics desired. Candidates with experience in Python, R, or VBA strongly preferred.

  • Management or mentorship experience strongly preferred.

  • Must have a bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
