Job Description

Your contribution

As Area Sales Manager for Saudi Arabia, you will be a vital player in maintaining TDY FLIR's world-leading thermal sensing technologies position. Together with the Emerging Market Sales Director team, you define our regional strategy to increase market share within the market segments while maintaining our strong position in Saudi Arabia with local rules and regulations. You're responsible for crafting your own local sales & marketing plan and executing on it. You need to manage the business through multiple channel partners' selling our products to customers. Your most significant contribution is to ensure our partners have the best prerequisites to present our different cameras and how to use them. Your job, therefore, means providing guidance and focus to our channel partners, craft market development plans, making sure our customers have the products they need in stock, and clearing problems out of the way.

  • Manage sales forecast, expense budget, and input to master production schedule
  • Manage sales activities of partners, create, and execute business plans with partners to meet and exceed booking/billing goals for the region
  • Develop and manage partner network in the region, educate partners about product portfolio, train them, planning marketing activities with them, assist in submitting formal quotations and bids, provide support to assist customers' queries
  • Develop positive working relationships with partners to build a business
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the marketplace and competitor activities
  • Deliver customer presentations and attend sales meetings and partner conferences
  • Assist in partner marketing activities such as tradeshows, campaigns, and other promotional activities
  • Make timely visits to prequalified customer prospects for demonstrations and sales
  • Analyze competition and recommend appropriate strategies for gaining market share. Work with Product Development and Marketing to match TDY FLIR's product offerings and support to the customer's needs.
  • Travel (may be up to 75%) in a cost effective manner, consistent with company policies
  • Providing daily updates to TDY FLIR's CRM system
  • Carry out in a timely fashion, specific related projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

  • Electrical/Electronics Degree in Engineering / Masters Degree in Physics
  • Management degree/diploma in sales or marketing preferred
  • Extensive experience working in Saudi Arabia
  • Min 3 years of distribution management. A proven history of developing and maintaining a solid distributor and OEM Network
  • Working experience from multinational companies preferred
  • Ability to identify, qualify and capture major long term program business
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Solution orientation and resourcefulness
  • Ability to acquire and report accurate market, product, and forecast information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel extensively up to 75%.
  • Fluent in English and local language, both verbal and written
  • A valid residence permit (Iqama) or a Saudi Arabian citizenship
