  • Manages team of bilingual translators and coordinators; partners with group manager to assess and manage team workload, project assignments and status updates
  • Advises translators and coordinators on localization-related issues for their territories
  • "Provides oversight and specific coaching to team members related to collaborating and communicating with internal teams and global business partners. Includes cultural and language instruction
  • Develops schedules and coordinates workflow with other localization team members to localize products and services through launch and beyond
  • Communicates directly with NCL regarding game content, localization, and promotion efforts related to smart device business, building strong relationships along the way
  • Collaborates with internal teams to gain alignment on schedules, strategies, and product and campaign-related messaging
  • Translates game text, manuals, marketing summaries, and other copy as requested
  • Creates recording budgets and contracts by working with recording studios and actors' agents to audition and cast voice actors
  • Develops voice scripts. Plans and directs voice recording sessions.
  • Manages creative process necessary to translate cultural and language differences in text, scripts, voice, and art areas as needed
  • Provides detailed and summary management reporting on localization status and changes
  • Works with highly sensitive and confidential material on a regular basis
  • May interpret meetings, telephone calls and video conferences related to game development and localization
  • Up to 10% travel, domestic and international travel

  • Communicates product strengths, features, and differentiation points to upper management and various departments, including but not limited to the Smart Device Group, Product Marketing, and the Social Media Team
  • As designated, may represent Nintendo in an official capacity as a spokesperson by presenting games to media, participating in interviews, presenting on live streams, and supporting other promotional efforts
  • Generates game-related content for websites, social media, and other consumer-facing portals
  • May interpret media interviews and/or presentations for Japanese developers
