First Databank (FDB) is seeking an AssistantProductManager in the Indianapolis Office. The AssistantProductManager will work collaboratively with the Product Manager to assist in the development and commercial success of innovative, industry leading software products for the FDB Product Line.This position is designed to expose the candidate to all aspects of product management in anticipation of growth in the organization.


  • Coordinate the development and quality assurance of FDB's web service based Clinical Decision Support and Business Intelligence solutions.

  • Specify business requirements for current and future products and prioritize conflicting needs and requests to deliver product features on time and within budget.

  • Assist in the creation of business cases to obtain funding for product development projects in conjunction with the Finance Department and other key stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Implementation to ensure successful product delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Work with development to validate functional and technical requirements based on User Stories.

  • Monitor and develop marketing strategies based on research and in collaboration with sales.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication (written and verbal)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PowerBI knowledge a plus

  • Organizational and planning skills needed to guide various product management and development processes

  • Interpersonal skills required to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong research and analytical skills needed for market and financial analysis

Required Experience:

  • Experience in the integrated drug information industry or health information technology industry is preferred

  • Experience with EHR software is strongly preferred

  • Prior project management experience is preferred

  • Experience with information technology and products is strongly preferred

  • Bachelors degree in a related field; understanding of healthcare provider workflow is strongly preferred
