Here, everyone matters and you will be a vital contributor to our inspiring, bold mission. As a Senior Manager working on thewithProject Management team, a typical day will include:

OBJECTIVES:

  • Lead project management, partnering with Business Development (BD) Search and Evaluation and Transaction colleagues to drive triage decision making and diligence of BD opportunities
  • Ensure up to date and accurate documentation of BD opportunities in Customer Management System (Salesforce)
  • Ensure CEI BD team and R&D stakeholders preparation for BD portfolio review meetings with CEI leadership, Drug Discovery Units and Clinical Therapeutic Area Units.
  • Define meeting strategy, objectives and required attendees for external partner meetings major medical and BD conferences in partnership with BD team and R&D Stakeholders

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Partner with BD Search and Evaluation (S&E) and Transaction lead, outline key strategic objectives for each diligence.
  • Identity and oversee cross-functional due diligence teams; efficiently manage due diligence process; define and track project-specific timelines
  • Partner with BD team to monitor and track other deal activities in preparation for governance process and contract execution
  • Lead weekly BD and extended team meetings, including determining meeting objectives and required attendees
  • Collaborate with BD colleagues to prepare for management update meetings including report generation, pre-read dissemination, and action plan follow-up.
  • Develop and implement robust and user-friendly reports from Knowledge Management system

Education

  • Bachelors Degree science or business-related field
  • Advanced degree in science or business is preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of in-depth pharmaceutical industry and experience and drug development across all phases of research and development with experience in related functions (eg Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Research, Regulatory, CMC, Marketing)
  • Minimum of 3 yrsproject management experience and/or proven leadership experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and key project decisions
  • Strategic problem-solving ability

Knowledge and Skills

  • Project leadership and management skills are essential
  • Therapeutic area expertise is desirable but not required
  • Simultaneous management of multiple tasks of varying complexity, without sacrificing quality of execution
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective presentation, written and verbal skills
  • Create and deliver presentations with focused recommendations
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and drive decision-making in a cross-functional team structure
  • Flexibility, tolerance, and diplomacy to manage differing opinions
  • Expert-level proficiency inMicrosoft Project Professional, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
