The Associate Director, Strategic Foundation Partnerships will be a dynamic and motivated fundraiser and play a pivotal role in the growth of the Strategic Foundations Partnerships team at Save the Children. The successful candidate must be a dedicated and capable fundraiser with a proven track record. Under the leadership of the Senior Director, the Associate Director will be responsible for growing revenue through identifying new partnership opportunities and developing strategic outreach plans for private foundations as well as stewarding the relationship with existing partners.

What Youll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

  • Drive new partnerships for the Strategic Foundation Partnerships team. (30%).

Working closely with the Senior Director, the director will:

  • Raise revenue from new donors by developing and implementing engagement strategies to engage prospects identified by the SFP research team.

  • Develop donor outreach strategies collaboratively with program teams, in line with the Agencys priorities.

  • Stay informed of new trends in foundation giving to identify innovative ways to partner across existing and new partners/donors.

  • Manage and develop existing prospects (30%)
    • Raise revenue from existing prospects and select new funding opportunities by continuously exploring donor priorities and developing engagement strategies.

    • Provide quality management of existing systems to accurately capture commitments and new opportunities from existing and new donors.

  • Support the Senior Director in engaging new trend donors (20%):
    • Research and develop a faith-based giving donor base using the faith-based donor strategy in development and the existing Zakat strategy as a pilot.

    • Support Big Bets proposal development and submission by liaising with other Resource Development teams, program staff, finance and marketing and communication.

  • Support the SFP team in developing and implementing a customized social media strategy (10%)

  • Provide other tasks and perform other duties as needed to support the SFP team goals (10%)

Required Qualifications

  • You have a minimum 5-7years' experience of fundraising and new business development experience across non-profit and private sectors

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required

  • Up to date on latest trends in partnership development across non-profit and private sectors

  • Demonstrated success in developing and presenting proposals for funding

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior members of the organization on fundraising activities

  • Ability to think creatively to identify new partnership opportunities in line with current trends and future market shifts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to operate independently and as a team member

  • Strong and effective use of technology for data analytics and communication purposes.

  • Well versed in global cultural settings
