Job Description Summary

Under policy direction of the Executive Vice President / Chief Retail Officer, plans, organizes, integrates, manages and evaluates the operational activities of the Credit Unions Direct Retail division; responsible for managing branches and frontline operations through subordinate managers; oversees and directs planning and implementation of strategic plans; ensures projects are designed and implemented efficiently and effectively; directs division business continuity planning to minimize risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a professional image and demeanor at all times consistently demonstrating Credit Union RISE Values and adhering to the Code of Ethics. Delivers friendly, caring service to internal and external members.

Plans, organizes, evaluates and manages the operations of the Direct Retail division; utilizes resources effectively and implements plans, programs and work processes and procedures necessary to achieve designated results and meet strategic objectives; coordinates and integrates functions within the division and across the Credit Union.

Participates in the development and implementation of business plans and budgets for area of responsibility; establishes and monitors branch productivity and service goals leads and manages staff in the delivery of new products, sales, services and overall approaches to serving members.

Evaluates staffing requirements. Collaboratively works with Employee Learning & Development and other departmental areas to develop training criteria and programs for Retail Delivery. Provides leadership and works with supervisors and staff to develop and retain highly competent, member service oriented staff through training and day-to-day management practices that support the Credit Unions mission and strategic goals. Serve as the Branch Liaison for the School Program on the job training.

Establishes performance requirements and objectives for staff; monitors and evaluates their performance; provides coaching and development opportunities, and finds ways to recognize performance; addresses performance deficiencies and takes disciplinary action if warranted, in accordance with Credit Unions policies and procedures. Ability to recommend new products , services, and technology for retail channels.

Investigates and responds to escalated member comments and concerns; responsible for maintaining the service culture at the branch offices and providing direction to management staff.

Develops and implements an effective continuous process improvement culture throughout Direct Retail to consistently improve metrics. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, minimizes operational risks, and develops plans to drive those initiatives that provide the best service to our members.

Responsible for the completion of various reports, staffing, production, tracking goal results, and miscellaneous information in Direct Retail. Accountable for data collection, analysis, content summary, and timely submission of information to executive management.

Supports branch management teams with their efforts to promote Credit Union reputation and growth by encouraging relationship building within the community, participation in civic organizations and events; develops and fosters relationships with current and potential service groups.

Works cross functionally across the Credit Union to help develop training criteria and programs, new products and service delivery for the Direct Retail Division.

Responsible for Business Continuity Plan updates and changes as necessary and for coordinating and scheduling staff requirements for disaster recovery planning.

Addresses and responds to internal audit reports for the branch offices; provides guidance in the development of policies and procedures, for risk mitigation and regulatory compliance; works with all available resources to understand any new or proposed regulation that may impact operations and member concerns.

Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures; ensures that uniform operating procedures are developed based on the level of risk for all areas of responsibility.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline

Five years of progressively responsible retail banking experience with at least three years in a management role
