We are seeking a Bankruptcy Manager for the ILS Legal Services Department.

The Bankruptcy Manager is accountable for building and maintaining a team to perform the support operations of bankruptcy services; advisory and monitoring oversight of the attorney network, and serve as a contact point for bankruptcy legal assistance and billing for the Indirect Lending Channel (Auto, Manufactured Housing, and Indirect Merchant Financing (IMF).

  • Manage bankruptcy services programs and processes to provide divisional augmented bankruptcy processing services for the lending operations (Auto, Manufactured Housing, and IMF).

  • Ensure documented and updated procedures and processes for bankruptcy functions performed on behalf of the lending divisions.

  • Ensure team is providing effective, efficient and quality bankruptcy processing services.

  • Maintains deep understanding of bankruptcy organizational (Credit Human) and regulatory (State, National, NCUA, HUD, GNMA) requirements.

  • Ensure proper completion and timely filing of bankruptcy forms - Proof of Claim (POC), Payment Change Notice, and Reaffirmation.

  • Maintain and ensure accurate monthly reporting of bankruptcy and charge-off services provided to lending divisions and support departments.



  • Management experience providing day-to-day oversight of workflows to achieve desired outputs.

  • 3-4 years of experience in bankruptcy compliance practices and methodologies.

  • 3-4 years of experience of interacting with bankruptcy courts, trustee, and attorneys.

  • Background in procedure writing, process mapping and identifying root causes and remedies.

  • Experience with managing and measuring service quality standards.


  • 5-7 years of experience in bankruptcy compliance practices and methodologies.

  • 5-7 years of experience of interacting with bankruptcy courts, trustee, and attorney

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Investigative and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Planning, organization & good time management skills.

  • Accuracy/Detail Oriented.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint



  • Bachelor Degree in Business related field or equivalent experience and knowledge.

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Level of Work: 2C
