KAR Global has embraced a culture of agility with the digital transformation of our IT groups. In support of the adoption of the agile way of working across the enterprise, KAR IT has developed an Agile Working Group. The Agile Working Group is a small team of cross functional agile champions, offering coaching and training to teams and departments embarking or continuing on their agile journeys.

The Agile Working Group team is seeking an agile Business Analyst/Product Owner. The BA/PO will assist the RTE / primary agile coach with coaching and training initiatives for teams seeking to adopt agile practices, as well as offering some project management or coordination support for teams in transition. These teams may be in product development, business operations, or corporate shared services.

You should embrace agile business analysis practices, demonstrating pragmatism and flexibility in a market that demands we embrace changes in requirements. A successful candidate will be creative, curious and collaborative. Additionally, you should have experience working within agile frameworks, including and SAFe/Scrum ceremonies, and should embody core lean-agile principles.

Primary deliverables include training materials, presentations, dashboards using data visualization tools, user stories, and roadmaps. The BA/PO internally interfaces with business stakeholders, executives, engineering, product owners, and technical architects.

A successful candidate for this role must possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Teamwork and transparency are required and well established within the current team, and ideal candidates will be collaborative in practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing coaching and training materials to launch agile teams
  • Develop reports and dashboards for management and executive consumption
  • Compose user stories in cooperation with the team to populate the product backlog
  • Elicit story requirements from business and technical stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical users.Interact with technical resources in problem resolution.
  • Answer questions about products for all team members, as well as internal and external customers.
  • Interface with executives, end users and other technical resources to fulfill end user requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree preferred; six (6) to eight (8) years experience required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years similar analytical experience.
  • Highly prefer experience with Agile/Scrum.
  • Technical background, with experience in development methodologies like Agile, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.
  • Preferred experience with large scale infrastructure deployments
  • Business Skills Able to comprehend the business context and market problem that drive the building of a product, able to effectively elicit product and feature requirements from technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Qualified candidate will be required to travel up to 25 percent of the time, internationally (Canada) and a valid Passport or within 30 days of offer.
