We, the Economic Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, are looking for you, an excellent Business Analyst/Scrum Master.

Providing access to data, educating the public, and partnering with data providers is an essential part of the mission of the Economic Research Division and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

A little about you: As Business Analyst/Scrum Master for our Agile team, you will report to the Assistant Vice President in Research and work with web developers, subject matter experts, and senior leadership. You will coordinate a variety of projects that support the design and function of our Division website, FRASER , Fed in Print , and the Federal Reserve System's Historical Gateway .


Responsibilities

  • Work directly and collaborate with a product owner, business stakeholders, designers, and developers to accomplish updating/building of applications to specifications.
  • Understand our needs and identify potential solutions that meet our goals and strategic goals.
  • Analyze business/application requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, reviews of current-state functionality.
  • Analyze impact of proposed solutions across the business and Research business lines.
  • Document requirements in the form of user stories that are broken down into deliverable, iteratively developed functionality; determine scenarios and acceptance criteria to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to development team; provide business and user perspectives to the development team.
  • Advise business owners of options, risks, and costs (in effort); work with business owner to understand and set sprint priorities.
  • Facilitate all Agile (scrum) ceremonies, and use Agile approaches to steer the team towards collaboratively delivering high-quality software that meets our goals within projected timeframes.
  • Collaborate with other BA/Scrum Masters within Research to work on/communicate about dependent projects and share best practices amongst the teams.
