Business Analyst/Technical Writer, General Description:

1) Documentation (User Guides, Traning Manuals, Requirements)

  • Selected person will be expected to work on a variety of documents from Training Material to User Guides to Management Deliverables.
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures, user manuals and training materials.

  • Work with Developer(s) to research, develop and document technical design specifications.

  • May work with a Developer or may work independently to document requirements specifications.

  • Maintain a comprehensive library of technical and industry terminology and documentation.

  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.

2) Conducting Trainings

  • Selected person will provide training using materials they created.
  • Responsible for conducting new user training, staff refresher training and new functionality staff training.

  • Responsible for developing a quarterly training schedule and maintaining this schedule.

3) Assisting User when they run into issues

  • Position requires an individual with knowledge and experience working directly with Client; Selected person should know how to talk with a client or team member and get the information required to write the necessary document.
  • Works in a virtual team with people in different time zones.
  • Works face to face with the users to assist them when they have an issue.
  • Create Maintenance Issue Tickets in the tracking system. (Application Lifecycle Management, ALM system)
  • Selected person should have a basic knowledge of code writing.


Years of Expereince and Education:

  • Have a Bachelors Degree in related field or 6 years experience in similar job role.
  • Knowledge of Office 365.
  • Previous experience working as a Technical Writer or Business Analyst on a medium to large scale TI Project.
  • Experience in writing in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Experience working with Adobe Acrobat and creating PDF Forms and Documents.
