**Job Description:**

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.


This role will help manage the diverse administrative functions for the Compliance Technology, one department within Enterprise Risk and Finance Technology (ERFT) area at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). The functions vary considerably, but comprises up to 3 main functions: financial control/budgeting and consolidation; personnel processes and liaison with HR; and a full suite of management reporting. In addition, working with parallel business management teams, the successful candidate will need to help deliver services including, but not limited to, risk and control management, location strategy execution, process improvement across our own and partner teams, business continuity, and staff communication.

The successful candidate will need to work closely with senior technology partners to ensure that all reporting accurately reflects the position of the Compliance technology team. To do this, a thorough knowledge of the departments functional area and products will need to be built up, as well as a working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices.

ERFT has a footprint in 6 countries and employs 3,800 employees and contractors, while also maintaining close connectivity with Risk and Finance business partners, enterprise support partners and the global technology & operations organization.


Partners with ERFT Technology Executives and Business Support Mangers (BSMs) to lead discussions

Deliver the regular financial forecasts, management of actuals and related staffing inputs

Manage the processes for delivery of all the staffing, HR and other people related activities.

Deliver of the monthly management reporting packs, in conjunction with senior technology leads.

Organize the management agenda; coordinates materials and communications for All Hands, SLT meetings, business reviews and off-sites

Coordinates (and enhances) routines to understand trends in Workforce Management, with a focus on developing reporting related to current and future trends.

Support the strategic planning involved with Location Management, privacy wall and move coordination

Develops and maintains management calendars for deliverables and governance routines

**Required Skills:**

+ 3-8 years of proven track record in data analysis and management with preference on business management, and/or project portfolio and related financial data

+ Relationship management and networking skills

+ Interpersonal skills and communication skills at all levels

+ Planning, time management and resource management skills

+ Experience working in Information Technology or Change Management function

+ Knowledge of industry standards and best practices

+ Analytical and have the ability to manage competing priorities

+ Project portfolio and financial data experience and understanding

+ Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently

+ Excellent communication skills, but up and down the management hierarchy

+ Experience working with Executives at the MD / B3 level

+ Strong financial acumen

+ Ability to operate independently

+ Self-motivated and self-managed

+ Resilience and drive to continuously improve

+ Report writing capability
