The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Bank is looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join a small and dynamic team responsible for Records and Information Management (RIM). In addition to our day-to-day operations our team is responsible for a number of key local and system objectives. This position involves interacting and collaborating with business areas and stakeholders across the Bank and the Federal Reserve System.

An essential function of this position is working onsite; this position qualifies for a hybrid working arrangement that supports remote work, but generally requires being onsite at least 2 days per week.

This position is posted at two levels. The finalist will be selected based on the candidate pool and the needs of the team.

Responsibilities for a Business Systems Analyst I:

  • May serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Bank on records related topics, such as document labeling requirements, records management systems and databases, and records management standards.

  • Analyze business and user needs, documents requirements, and assist in revising existing systems and software as necessary to support the business environment.

  • Provide basic technical or production support and conducts routine maintenance of software programs and enhancements.

  • Assist in planning, coordinating and conducting related software and end-user testing.

  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems and issues.

  • Respond to requests for information including developing basic ad-hoc reports and queries in databases and/or management information systems.

  • Provide analytic support to department management for business planning and decision-making.

  • Assist with developing and revising procedures, defining processes, and delivering training to users.

  • May serve as a liaison and coordinate business application enhancements and/or software updates with business areas, FRS, and/or federal agency staff.

  • May serve as a primary contact for resolving user support issues to ensure efficient operations.

  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned

Qualifications for Business Systems Analyst I:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Management and 2 years of analytic experience in a business systems applications environment.

  • Experience with records and information management best practices, processes, and procedures or related field.

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and issues, and offer solutions.

  • Good Communication skills, both written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Project Management experience with sound prioritization and time management skills.

Highly Desired:

  • Strong computer skills including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, and/or Visio along with various other online applications, as needed for the role.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the division on records related topics, such as document labeling requirements, records management systems and databases, and records management standards.

  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and revises existing systems and software as necessary to support the business environment.

  • Provide intermediate technical or production support and conducts maintenance of software programs and enhancements.

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct related software and end-user testing and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Troubleshoot moderately complex technical problems and issues.

  • Respond to requests for information, including developing moderately complex ad-hoc reports and queries in databases and/or management information systems.

  • Provide analytic support to department management for business planning and decision-making.

  • Develop and revise procedures, defines processes, and provides training for users and staff.

  • Serve as a liaison and coordinate business application enhancements and/or software updates with Department, Bank, FRS, and/or federal agency staff.

  • Serve as a primary contact for resolving user support issues to ensure efficient operations.

  • Participate in department and FRS information systems and related projects.

  • Prepare communications, including proposals, reports, and presentations for all levels of management.

  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Qualifications for Business Systems Analyst II:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Management, or a related field and 4 years of analytic experience in a business systems applications environment.

  • Experience with records and information management best practices, processes, and procedures or related field.

  • Strong computer skills including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, and/or Visio along with various other online applications, as needed for the role.

  • Certification on Information Management like Information Professional Governance (IGP), Certified Records Management (CRM) are preferred

  • Experience with OneTrust is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently with general supervision and direction.

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and issues, and offer solutions.

  • Good Communication skills, both written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Project Management experience with sound prioritization and time management skills.
