Business Technology and Customer Platform Manager

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Technology and Customer Platform Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of the local business and customer facing platforms.

2. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and support of business infrastructure and platforms.

Development and support of customer facing platforms.

Support Company applications (Microsoft programs) and employee computer setup

Perform other work as required

Carrying out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with total adherence to: The Companys Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, Quality Management System, Compliance and Ethics Policies, Vision, Mission and Strategy, and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.

3. SUPERVISION EXERCISED

The Business Technology and Customer Platform Manager currently has no personnel responsibility or authority.

4. SUPERVISION RECEIVED

The Business Technology and Customer Platform Manager reports to the General Manager - GRS.

5. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

University Degree in computer science

5+ years directly related experience

5+ year experience using *NIX based operating systems

Qualifications

6. CORE COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of platform coding languages (PHP, Python, javascript, css, html) and architecture (web/application servers: apache, nginx, tomcat, glassfish; database: mysql, postgresql, sqlite)

Knowledge of MVC frameworks (CakePHP, Laravel, Flask etc.)

Work well independently and as part of a team

Excellent verbal and written communications

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written formats

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Must have a proactive and positive attitude

Must be detail oriented

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities

Ability to make timely decisions and problem-solve effectively with incomplete information under tight deadlines and pressure
