The leader is responsible for developing theChemical market in NA for PSS. This should result in establishing profitable business growth and position PSS in the market as the supplier of first choice for projects, consultancy, and life cycle services, while leveraging DeltaV, Syncade, Wireless, Training Solutions, and Reliability Solutions as core offerings.

Lead a team ofbusiness developmentlocated in Austin, TX.

  • Ensure the annual industry sales targets are achieved for PSS NA
  • Establish and maintain a market development / industry growth and execution plan for thechemical business for PSS in NA
  • Cooperate with the Director Lifecycle Care PSS NA in developing specific KOB3 and service offerings
  • Drive market participation growth within thechemicalindustry across NA in close cooperation with the Local Business Partners, Territory Managers and BDMs
  • Develop and drive thebusiness plan for NA
  • Establish industry specific sales training plans for NA sales engineers, SALs, and BDMs assigned tochemical industry
  • Be the interface between the PSS organization and the strategic account organization and demonstrate effective industry leadership to the sales organization on a functional basis
  • Develop strategic account plans to become the trusted advisor for agreed strategic accounts
  • Build relationships at agreed strategic accounts and balance the companies and customer interests at these accounts
  • Collaborate with the local business partners, global sales network, technology, and product marketing on potential product / solution development to address key industry needs
  • Extend PSS's participation at the agreed strategic accounts, share identified opportunities with other business units, and own global contracts for NA-based customers
  • Coordinate project pursuit activities at these accounts with other world areas and/or the GP3 team and be the focal point for the global life science industry marketing organization
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge about PSS products and services as well as industry specific requirements
  • Provide timely information to support effective business management to all Emerson levels
  • Lead and develop a team of sales and business development professionals throughout NA, including both solid and dotted line reports

Additional Information

This position is based in Austin, TX

  • Degree in Engineering or technical field with a business degree preferred
  • 8 years of relevant sales leadership, account management experience, and/or general management roles
  • 8 years of relevant industry experience preferred
  • Proven results in creating business growth and building effective relationships
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Process Automation industry
  • Fluent in English and preferable one other language
  • Can create a vision and is able to communicate and present this on multiple levels
