The Healthcare Practice focuses on providing a broad range of services and solutions to the industry to address regulatory requirements and emerging industry trends such as: Regulatory Compliance, Integrated Health Management (including establishing health information exchanges), EIM, Claims Investigative Services (aimed at preventing fraud and abuse and strengthening administrative processes), and Operational Improvement (in areas such as claims processing, enrollment, membership and billing). Cognizant also partners with its clients to enable their systems and processes to deal with the retail orientation of health care, such as the support of individual mandates and the adoption of mobile and analytics solutions to improve access to health information and decision making by end consumers.

The Opportunity

This Healthcare Provider Regional Client Partner Leadership role at Cognizant Technology Solutions will be responsible for overseeing a significant portfolio of regional Healthcare Providers. Candidates should have strong business development focused Client Management and Orientation experience, with the ability to manage and grow a large book of business in various digital technologies (such as AI, Cloud, IoT, Digital Engineering, etc.). The Healthcare Client Partner Leader will drive collaboration with the CIO/VPs and vendor management teams and help them identify various digital opportunities to help grow their business and increase customer experience and play a key role in driving revenues specifically for Cognizants Digital Healthcare Provider Business Unit.


  • Manage a lead CP community for the region.

  • Manage CIO/ COO level relationships effectively.

  • Manage contract negotiations and should be able to lead creative financial and contractual constructs.

  • Manage and grow the Portfolio's P&L, MIS & Reporting.

  • Forecast and manage talent retention and growth optimally.

  • Lead the team effectively.

  • Thought leadership in Digital, (AI, Cloud, IoT, Digital Engineering, etc.).

  • Strong BD (farming) and sales (hunting) experience.

  • Ability to engage in consultative selling.

  • Formulate creative deals and ability to innovate and raise the bar consistently.


  • 4 year bachelors degree or equivalent required

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Masters) preferred

  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience.

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience within Healthcare Provider industry.

  • Thought leadership in IT/Offshoring environment.

  • P&L management experience.

  • Strong Business Development (farming) and sales (hunting) experience.

  • Ability to engage in consultative selling.

  • Experience in formulating creative deals.

  • Experience in Healthcare Provider business and its challenges.

  • Experience in Digital strategies.
