Responsibilities

The Cloud Computing Technical Specialist will manage a distributed cross-functional Information Technology implementation team. Plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. Responsible for partnering across a dispersed and wide variety of functions internally to solve challenges problems in cloud computing. Will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure rapid and accurate resolution of technical challenges. Oversees the technical integration, platform adoption, and optimization of critical projects from start to finish. Extensive solutions-oriented experience is needed with a comprehensive understanding of Cloud technology to deliver unmatched business value to our customers. Guide a multidisciplinary team through development of a complex product from inception to end-of-life in a very fast-paced and demanding environment. Prioritizing and creating product requirements documents to synthesize strategic solutions to interdependent and broad problems for the solutions engineering team. Establish roadmap and key project milestones for concurrent engagements, advocate internally for product features and sales direction, and proactively identify technical dependencies and roadblocks to mitigate risks and ensure successful execution of projects. Recommend cloud solutions by using your technical breadth across multiple areas, and manage strategic alliances among Google and partners/customers to promote adoption and interoperability of their existing applications and infrastructure solutions to Google Cloud Platform. Deliver best practices papers, tutorials, blog articles and technical project presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders. Drive partner advisory board initiatives. Identify new product features and feature gaps, provide guidance on existing product issues, and collaborate with Solutions Architects in solution creation to influence the growth of Cloud Platform. Experience with modern web technologies: HTML5, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript; and programming languages: C++, Python, Java, Go, PHP.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's w/ 10-12 yrs experience, Master's w/ 8-10 yrs experience, Or PhD 5-7 yrs
  3. Any Cloud-related Professional certification(s): [e.g., i. Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) ii. AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)], iii. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, iv. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate), v. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional), vi. AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)]
  4. Experience leading a distributed cross-functional information technology implementation team.
  5. DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense Economics Database, Object Based Production (OBP), Activity Based Intelligence (ABI), IC Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE)].
  6. Hands-on experience in large-scale distributed solution architecture engineering, integration, applications, analysis (e.g., mission needs assessment, design, development, implementation, deployment, sustainment, enhancement).
  7. Experience/Proficiency rapidly translating mission needs into end-to-end capabilities and services solution design.
  8. Experience using Agile systems implementation methodologies.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Systems Architecture professional certification.
  3. Cloud-based solutions experience leveraging large cloud-computing infrastructure and platforms architecting, engineering, developing and deploying systems and applications into a cloud environment.
  4. Knowledge of/demonstrated proficiency applying SE&I process to solutions engineering, producing SE artifacts, designing solutions, performing trades, mission utility and affordability analysis, requirements engineering, interface definition, detailed implementation planning, tech insertion, risk management, readiness, certification and transition.
  5. Mission/Business Capability analysis experience determining how a capability should work and how changes in conditions, threat, mission, ROE, operations, technology and the environment will affect outcomes.
