Responsibilities

Perspecta is looking for a COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join a skilled, highly respected and long-standing team supporting Analysis and Testing of operational systems. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on systems engineering processes in support of operational mission execution. Experience with satellite communications systems will be necessary to evaluate capabilities. Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Baseline assessments of system performance
  • Analysis support for operational capabilities
  • Set-up and testing of the capabilities in the field

Qualifications

Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
  • Experience with Commercial or Government communication satellite systems
  • Experience working in an operational environment and demonstrated understanding of user needs
  • Experience in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment
  • Experience writing test strategies and plans, executing tests, analyzing data and summarizing results
  • Understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verification
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; Demonstrated ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability and success working in team environments
  • Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forms
