**Compliance and Operational Risk Manager Global Commodities**



The Compliance Manager, assists the Front Line Unit (FLU) Compliance and Operational team in activities to contribute to the independent compliance oversight of FLU and Control Function (CF) performance and in alignment with the Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR) Program and the Global Compliance Enterprise Policy (GC Policy). As a member of a FLU Compliance team, this role applies business acumen to promote a culture of compliance and the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance risks by assisting with any of the following activities:



+ Create/update relevant policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements applicable to FLU/CF

+ Conduct compliance and operational risk assessments and present results to FLU/CF management

+ Conduct monitoring and testing coverage plans and related metrics

+ Review the effectiveness of compliance and operational risk controls for FLU/CF

+ Identify, report and escalate compliance and operational risks, issues and control enhancements to FLU/CF management

+ Identify, collect, validate and record internal loss events and near misses

+ Perform root cause analyses on internal loss events and develop remediation plans to strengthen controls

+ Participate in the execution of governance and management routines

+ Identify training needs, conduct in-person training, and contribute to on-line training curriculum

+ Provide advice and guidance regarding laws, rules and regulations applicable to FLU/CF

+ Contribute to preparations for regulatory exams, inquiries and audits with FLU/CF

+ Escalate regulatory relations concerns to Compliance and Operational Risk Manager

+ Oversee and manage compliance and operational risk protocols and procedures



**Required Skills:**



+ Minimum Years Business & Functional Experience: 5-7 years (preferably 7+ years)

+ Degree Required: Bachelors Degree

+ Working knowledge of the Commodities and Futures products and markets

+ Working knowledge of Commodities and Futures market principles (including structure and pricing relationships) and exchange rules

+ Significant experience with the interpretation and application of FERC, CFTC, CME, and ICE rules

+ Ability to work effectively and independently with management oversight in another city

+ Ability to think both critically and proactively

+ Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and analytical skills needs to be able to work on a trading floor and present professionally

+ Excellent writing skills, as the role encompasses various written disciplines including drafting policies, procedures, trainings, regulatory responses and monitoring/testing dispositions

+ Attention to detail

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

+ **Desired Skills:**

+ 8-10 years of professional experience in commodities trading compliance

+ Prior experience in a Fixed Income Compliance advisory or Operational Risk role, but will consider candidates with Risk or Audit experience with functional knowledge of Commodities and Futures markets

+ Experience with Dodd Frank Title VII and similar EU regulations a plus

+ Advanced degrees, securities licenses, or regulator experience a plus
