DAT Solutions is seeking a Compliance Representative II to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon.


The Compliance Representative II, working in a call center environment, is responsible for validating and approving product sales in a timely manner through the gathering of information such as: previous account history, verification of company/corporation through state and financial resources, and valid operating authority. The Compliance Rep II will also be responsible for handling customer complaints, name/address changes, monitoring authority on existing accounts and processing post activation reviews for online service requests. In addition, this team will provide backup support for email and inbound call queues as needed.

Compliance Rep II Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review requests for service on all new and existing accounts to determine their eligibility for service and approve those that meet the criteria for service per the Customer Support credit review criteria.

  • Monitors the processing of credit reviews from the Sales Team on new and existing accounts to assure they are completed in a timely manner.

  • Researches all new accounts and customer name changes to verify that the account is not connected with a customer that has previously been terminated because of a bad debt, no-pay complaints, and/or out of compliance with Federal highway Administration requirements.

  • Verify and validate broker and carrier authority and place accounts on hold for inactive authority as needed per DAT policy and monitor these accounts for reactivation if the authority is reinstated or closure if the authority does not become active per the Customer Support process.

  • Process name and address changes within established service level guidelines and according to Customer Support processes and procedures.

  • Provide backup support to the inbound call, email and chat queues as needed.

  • Answer the telephone in a professional and timely manner. Handle customer requests/issues per DAT/Customer Support policies and processes, transferring only those calls that fall outside the scope of a Compliance Rep II.

  • Collect and document customer feedback to assist product managers and engineering staff with product development.

  • Identify opportunities to share product information with potential and/or existing DAT customers and escalate potential sales opportunities.

  • Produce consistently high quality work while maintaining excellent documentation of work completed.

  • Other duties as may be assigned by Customer Support Management

Customer Rep II Qualifications:

Customer Rep II Performance Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to request and process information related to insurance and broker/carrier authority; processing all incoming customer requests and database updates necessary for proper functionality of the CarrierWatch application.

  • Ability to keep excellent records to accurately organize work tasks. This is accomplished through the use of Siebel, DAT internal systems, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to ensure that all tasks related to broker/carrier maintenance are completed in a timely manner.

  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with team and internal and external customers.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent telephone communication skills, questioning, listening, and negotiation skills required.

  • Alert, personable, well-groomed/professional appearance.

Customer Rep II Technical Skills/Competencies:

  • Personal Computer Basics

  • Proficiency in MS Word

  • Proficiency MS Excel

  • Siebel

  • Internet Navigation Skills

  • Outlook

  • Some knowledge of Crystal preferred


High school diploma required.


Prior experience in a business environment. Ability to work with people as a team. Previous experience working as an insurance admin, insurance specialist or a compliance specialist in a transportation brokerage preferred, but not required.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write routine business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
