The Compliance Specialist, Investigations and Data Analysis supports the internal investigations and corporate security functions primarily through systems administration, process management, risk analysis and data science. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager Investigations and Corporate Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Together with the Sr. Manager Investigations and Corporate Security, oversee all aspects of the various whistleblower reporting mechanisms (Convercent Ethics Helpline, Chief Compliance Officer Mailbox, etc.).
  • Manage compliance case intake, assessment, prioritization, investigation planning and investigation report review and approval.
  • Assign cases to and collaborate with internal and external investigative resources.
  • Conduct investigations and investigative interviews as directed.
  • Coordinate with the global compliance and human resources function to ensure timely closure of internal investigations.
  • Develop and manage Convercent data sources, reporting criteria and analytics to enhance the investigation process and management reporting.
  • Train new users on the Convercent case reporting system.
  • Assist in development of risk / security related data analytics to determine gaps to establish and improve asset protection standards.
  • Assist in review of documentary evidence related to compliance cases.
  • Prepare reports, analysis and presentations for Compliance staff regarding compliance investigations and other compliance-related matters.
  • Track the progress and completion of all corrective actions flowing from internal investigations, including the development and management of an appropriate tracking tool.
  • Manage eDiscovery tools and selected provider to streamline the forensic review process and train investigators as needed.
  • Analyze and collect data from Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA) to assess gaps and identify improvement opportunities to enhance asset protection.
  • Assist in oversight of business traveler security.
  • Coordinate with selected vendors regarding bid opportunities, site surveys and administration of corporate physical security standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study is required,
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in law, law enforcement, risk management, internal audit, data science or compliance
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to conduct professional presentations, analyze data and to prepare reports (written and oral) to a diverse audience at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management skills to set priorities and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to harness and integrate available data for continuous process improvement involving the compliance and investigations process.
  • Competent programming ability with databases for data analysis and exception reporting.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Power BI (beneficial).
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of personal integrity and confidentiality
