    The Corporate Accountant will be primarily responsible for broadly supporting the Corporate Controllership team to ensure accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with internal controls. The role will provide broad exposure to the business, including Capital/PPE processes, Inventory, Revenue and Indirect Tax. Candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills; a self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. This position will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory accounting including standard to actual adjustments and valuation provisions,
  • Assist in the preparation of certain monthly/quarterly calculations and related entries,
  • Perform ongoing reviews of capital spending to ensure appropriateness of accounting treatment,
  • Assist in identification of assets for disposal/impairment considerations,
  • Prepare and post journal entries (primarily consolidating entries),
  • Compile and analyze monthly reporting on various balances (including, but not limited to Inventory and PPE),
  • Assist with compiling and loading forecast/budget data into reporting tool,
  • Assist with analyzing and compiling property tax returns,
  • Provide support for Audits (internal, external, tax), including collection of audit support and management of request lists,
  • Assist with corporate initiatives and requirements, including but not limited to policy review, amortization, project support, etc.,
  • Assist with research and provide guidance as it relates to technical accounting issues.Assist with documenting accounting positions, citing relevant literature,
  • Assist with strategic and compliance related projects, including the adoption of new accounting standards,
  • Drive best practice policies and procedures to support a robust internal control environment.
    • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Business. CPA preferred.
    • 2-5 years of corporate accounting experinence, preferably with a background in manufacturing.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Familiarity with SAP and HFM is a plus
    • Must be highly proficient with Excel and have experience with other Microsoft Office products.
