We are seeking a Data Management Developer to:
- Partner on the creation of standards, templates, procedures, and technical frameworks for the department.
- Design data warehouse workflows and mappings to extract, transform, and load data into staging areas and dimensional target tables.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and strong trusted-advisor relationships.
Education:
Minimum Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or related field (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement).
Preferred Masters degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
Preferred Three (3) years of data or analytics experience. Experience in healthcare provider or payer strongly preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Exposure to various database systems, along with a working knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be both directive and collaborative.
- Awareness of data warehousing methodologies.
- Ability to develop clear, concise documentation.
- Strong initiative, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (including MS Visio, MS Project, and MS Outlook).
- Knowledge of data warehousing process/workflow design and ETL development.
- Development background in data collection, transformation, and aggregation solutions.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
W ork Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
