Summary
The Director, CommercialBusiness Development determines the direction for
OEM's (Ford/FCA) future growth at Yanfeng by maintaining and enhancing existing
programs and building new business. The selected candidate requires an
understanding of the OEM's long-term business and market requirements. He/she
will apply and implement extensive expertise and advanced knowledge in selling
total solutions that bolsters competitive advantage. This role will develop and
maintain industry relationships which provide opportunities for new business
developments. He/she is responsible to expand the market by driving sales of
new and existing products to the customer.




Responsibilities
  • Create, communicate, and implement customer specific strategies
  • Provide direction to program team, leading to successful execution of
    product launch
  • Build and manage customer relationships, while communicating with other
    Managing Directors within the BU to provide consistency to the customer
  • Take ownership to drive issue resolution across all functional groups
    within the organization
  • Build strong customer relationshipsthat will enable effective
    communication and quick issue resolution
  • Champions the Company'sstrategic objectives throughout
    organization and through the development of platform tactical plans
  • Deliver / Exceed financial performance to stated strategic plan and
    specific Business Plans through driving business growth and assuring strict
    cost management within responsible vehicle segment
  • Manage profitability and sales budget thereby meeting sales objectives
    and strategic plans
  • Evaluates and suggests high-level recommendations and improvements to optimize
    customer's current needs and enhance their business processes
    IncorporatesYanfeng'sstrategic plan objectives in all activities
    and cascades throughout organization
  • Ensure platform program execution teams are staffed for exceeding
    customer delivery expectations.
  • Create and enhance a diverse, enthusiastic, and creative work
    environment that motivates employees to fully utilize and grow their skills and
    talents




Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business
related field (MBA preferred)




Required Experience:
  • 10+Years of
    Experience with direct customer contact through Commercial Business Development
    and/or Sales role and project management
  • 5-9Years of
    Experience in with commercial responsibility of OEM account.
  • Must be able and
    willing to travel to and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing
    plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

  • Possess versatile, flexible attitude and a willingness
    to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Well versed in financials (i.e. ROS/IRR/Cash
    flows/etc.) with proven experience
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task
    Well-developed negotiation, project and account management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to
    communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
