    Sodexo Corporate Services seeks a Director of Hard Services to direct and ensure the successful delivery of physical plant services and engineering solutions for the International Monetary Fund. To successfully deliver the Hard Services program, the Director must be collaborative and solutions oriented with a strategic focus on operational efficiencies. With responsibility for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, elevators, carpentry and locksmith services, the Hard Services program has cross functional impact and supports the delivery of capital improvement projects, custodial projects, office renovations and moves. In concert with the client, the Director will develop/refine and deliver the long-term maintenance strategy for the Fund’s facilities.

    Technical Competency

    The Director must be able to proactively identify solutions that ensure the longevity of the various Hard Services assets and systems. The position requirements, experience and proficiency include:

    • Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management 
    • 5-10 or more years of relevant work experience (10+ highly preferred)
    • PE Licensure desired
    • CFM and LEED certifications preferred
    • Experience with reliability based maintenance programs with a reliability centered approach to asset management
    • Developing white papers, studies and presentations in support of Hard services, systems and assets
    • Facilitating client engagement through meetings and discussions on technical information

    Operational Excellence

    The Director must achieve operational excellence in the delivery of facilities operations. The position requirements, experience and proficiency include:

    • Budget formulation, vendor/supplier management, contracts and budget administration, and union labor management. 
    • Producing data driven results by leveraging computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), building automation systems and other technology
    • Coordinating workload, work streams and resources to ensure meeting key performance indicators and targets are met 
    • Ability to develop relationships and coordinate effectively between organizations to ensure seamless execution of work


    Position Summary

    The Director of Facilities Operations  is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the  preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management.  The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.  The Director may oversee  construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or  logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.



    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement- Bachelor’s Degree

    Basic Management Experience- 5 years

    Basic Functional Experience- 5 years
