Georgia Pacific Chemicals is looking for Director of Marketing & Sustainability. The role has six direct reports and reports to the President of Chemicals. This individual is responsible for defining marketing strategy for products, including market analysis, positioning, messaging, and promoting our products and solutions to customers, partners and other key audiences.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop and leverage market insights & PoVs (Point of View) to support commercial decisions and guide innovation spending.

  • Provide marketing subject matter expertise (SME) and training. Continue to expand marketing knowledge processes to subordinates and peers.

  • Serve as thought and execution partner with business/segment leaders.

  • Collaborate with New Opportunities-Exploration Innovation group on identification and assessment of growth opportunities.

  • Share Knowledge with other GP businesses and affiliates on relevant marketing topics and represent GP Chemicals in relevant networks and venues.

  • Serve as Chemicals CSO (Compliance System Owner) for the Marketing, Promotion and Advertising (MPA) compliance standard.

  • Contribute as a member of the Vision Team.

  • Coach and lead Commercial Development project execution process.

  • Consult on sustainability activities for Chemicals.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree

  • 5 years of management experience

  • 10 years of experience in marketing, sales, commercial development, market analysis and market development

  • Experience in technical marketing including development of marketing plans, strategy, target audience development, use of trade names, lead management and messaging.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA highly desirable

  • B2B enterprise experience is preferred
