We are currently recruiting for a Director of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE), which supports the GP Corrugated business. Our corrugated packaging business has a sales team of over 150 employees, and we are looking for a sales force effectiveness leader who can build capabilities and processes that help our sales team achieve superior results. The position will focus on building capabilities to drive revenue and margin growth by defining, developing, executing, and assessing effective sales processes, leveraging sales technology platforms, and developing and executing sales force training. This role will support the GP Corrugated sales function and report to the VP National Accounts and Sales Force Effectiveness. This role will also have direct reports who assist in these efforts.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Establish and gain alignment on a vision for the SFE capability so that business leaders, sales leaders and sales representatives believe this Sales Force Effectiveness program will help them achieve superior results.

  • Build new training and development processes and platforms that meet the needs of the business and sales team members. Develop, plan and execute sales skills training to all levels of the sales organization. Manage training to effectively sell product and service innovations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business and sales leaders to create, define, implement, and assess effective sales processes and/or build new capabilities that add value for the business.

  • Implement CRM across the business. Work closely with the IT team to manage, prioritize and oversee the implementation of enhancement requests and new capabilities.

  • Be a key thought leader on sales processes and emerging sales technologies. Identify opportunities for experimentation to create value through innovative sales processes and/or technologies.

  • Manage the development and execution of sales performance improvement strategies in alignment with sales leadership expectations and business goals. Ensure that incentives meet business objectives in accordance with our compensation philosophy.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher required

  • At least 7 years of B2B sales experience, (experience must include developing new accounts, closing business and managing a disciplined sales pipeline)

  • Experience training Sales Professionals

  • Experience with a CRM (Dynamics/Salesforce.com) and e-learning software programs.

  • Experience managing others

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Learning and curriculum development experience, including knowledge of training program design and state-of-the-art training techniques

  • Experience with distance learning including delivering training in virtual classroom environment (such as WebEx Conferencing) and overseeing self-directed e-learning.

  • CRM (Dynamics/Salesforce.com) power user or analyst experience
