This Executive position will participate in the leadership of global operations planning for Hewlett Packard Enterprise globally. Responsibilities for this position include: maturing the 5 Step monthly management process called Integrated Planning (IBP), also known as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process across HPE. The Director will lead and facilitate the global integration of plans across the business with a center-led approach to capture synergies, improve revenue performance, and enable growth. This leader will drive this continuous improvement while creating value by improving customer experience, revenue delivery, cost reductions, and inventory productivity. This position will coach and mentor Senior Leaders across all functions to ensure sustainable change within the world-wide company that will have a significant impact on the companys direction and business performance. The position reports into the VP of Global Operations Planning with a preferred location of Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation of a clear vision and strategy for IBP to build best-in-class management capabilities to improve the customer experience, revenue performance, costs, and inventory productivity.
  • Provide leadership for a global team that works within the 11 geographical Sales teams world-wide.
  • Provide coaching for the senior leadership of global business units (GBUs) and global functions that support them to enable sustainable change at HPE.
  • Ensure robust tactics are in place coupled with planning and executional excellence so that objectives are met or exceeded, prevents and predicts gaps to business plans.
  • Ensure effective Product Life Cycle Management and manage contingency plans and risk factors are considered in the monthly management process.
  • Conduct scenario planning and trade-off analysis to recommend optimal business performance.
  • Collaborate with and build positive and productive relationships with Business Units, customers, and key global functions (Sales, Category Management, Product Management) to deliver top and bottom line results.
  • Develop Goals and Objectives for the IBP Team that support the business needs. Provide ongoing development, coaching and performance management to the team and ensure a high level of performance. Create the conditions that enable team members to succeed, learn, and enjoy their work.
  • Actively partners with and influences leadership across many cross-functional organizations and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Anticipates and pro-actively manages ongoing complex business challenges and changes stemming from shifting market conditions, strategies or linkages.
  • Drives multi-year strategies and initiatives at the regional/global/business group level by exercising significant governance oversight in multiple areas (e.g., key policy decisions, resolution of high impact issues, and identification of gaps vs. business plans, prevention and early detection of issues).
  • Leads a team of Managers and Senior Individual Contributors for a business function by setting overall program initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of Supply Chain programs.
  • Responsible for performance management, talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team.
  • Leads and directly manages multiple functions and demonstrates broad impact through significant direct and dotted-line employee reporting relationships.
  • Applies broad and deep subject matter expertise to solve a variety of highly complex business issues.
  • Leads organization design both for the implementation of IBP globally but also for team this role leads.

Experience & Skills

  • Advanced level university degree preferred or equivalent experience;
  • Requires 10-15+ years of experience in implementing IBP/S&OP and/or supply chain planning.
  • Requires experience in running their own team, either across planning disciplines to support a business unit or one discipline across multiple businesses/regions/global.
  • Prefer experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., manufacturing, planning, logistics, etc.).
  • Exceptional understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategy.
  • Advanced understanding of market place and industry business operations and standards.
  • Advanced ability to build forward-thinking partnerships with suppliers.
  • Advanced leadership skills, particularly in complex, international, and cross functional teams.
  • Advanced program management and prioritization skills.
  • Superior communication skills, catered to a wide variety of audiences; mastery in English and local language.
  • Superior cross-company business acumen and understanding of risk mitigation approaches and contract language usage.
  • Advanced financial skills.
  • Advanced understanding of the company's policies and processes.
  • Strong ability to manage complex processes concurrently.
  • Advanced consulting, influencing and negotiation skills; ability to ensure strategic alignment with multiple parties
