OBJECTIVE



We are looking for a reliableCall Taker/Dispatcherto act as a communication point for non-emergency calls. You will receive transportation requests, transmit messages and track vehicles. The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in busy situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. This position is a full-time position with the potential for paid overtime.



QUALIFICATIONS



High school diploma or equivalent. Individual must be willing to be certified in CPR and First Aid and to maintain the certification. **Background check required - Please see below for requirements.**



OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES



As a Call Taker/Dispatcher, it is crucial that the dispatch phone is always monitored. Each client who calls our phones must feel welcomed and treated with professionalism. Therefore, applicants must be detail orientated, be able to multi-task with excellent time management skills, have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills, and the ability to think on your feet and discern what is in the best interest of the client and company.



Call Takers will need to be able to communicate and work efficiently with many different people and personalities, including people with disabilities.



Relaying information in a professional and efficient manner is the primary duty of the Call Taker/Dispatcher. Therefore, it is important that the Call Taker/Dispatcher learns and understands the use of a multi-line phone system, basic administrative & computer skills and excellent communication skills and has a pleasant and outgoing personality.



Self-confident and positive applicants with exceptional multitasking experience who enjoy working with the public and would like to assist in improving the efficiency of our department will excel in this position.



Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.



KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS {Essential Functions}



Organizes and dispatches 5125 transports for the next day prior to end of shift.



Actively reviews completed transports with drivers for accuracy prior to end of shift.



Responsible and accountable for completeness and accuracy of driver time-stamps and trip completions prior to completion of shift.



Responsible for accurate and complete data entry for the shift.



Responsible for generating applicable reports and checking for accuracy.



Responsible for driving community residents to and from scheduled destinations if needed.



Other administrative duties assigned during the shift delegated by the Transportation Manager and Transportation Coordinator.



Relationship Management



The Call Taker/Dispatcher is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all customers, vendors, referral agencies, consumers, families and Discover Goodwill Rehabilitation and Community Services staff. The individual will also advise the Transportation Manager through formal and informal means, on the overall production operation and in particular, the workflow, and information related to customer demands, quality control problems, material shortages and personnel needs. The individual must also partner with internal customers by communicating changes in direction and accommodate requests for assistance to achieve department goals.

**Background Check Requirements**



**Per the Code of Colorado Regulations Public Utilities Commission 6712. Criminal history Checks:
(a) Before permitting an individual to act as a driver on its digital network, a TNC shall obtain and
review a criminal history record check for the individual that complies with C.R.S. 40-10.1-
605(3)(a). If a privately administered national criminal history record check is used, custody of the
record check shall be direct from the entity administering the check to the TNC.



(b) If a privately administered national criminal history record check is conducted, the TNC shall
obtain the applicant's social security number (or Alien Registration Number/USCIS Number or
Form I-94 Admission Number), birth date, and drivers license number.



(c) The identifying information obtained in paragraph (b) shall be run through national and county or
statewide criminal background databases or other similar commercial databases and validated
through a primary source search. These searches shall include, at minimum, the National Sex
Offender Registry and, in jurisdictions where an applicant has lived, a federal district court
records search, a county criminal records search, and a motor vehicle records search.



(d) At least once every five years, a TNC shall obtain and review a criminal history record check for
each driver authorized to use the TNC's digital network.



(e) No TNC shall permit any individual convicted of or who pled guilty or nolo contendere to any of
the offenses listed in 40-10.1-605(3)(c), C.R.S. to log in to its digital network or serve as a driver
for the TNC.
