What does this role look like?
You will be responsible for responding to customer and intra-company requests for ship assist and/or escort services.

Some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • Crewing and dispatching tugs to meet customer requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner, as directed.
  • Gathering and recording data related to each job or customer request to meet operational guidelines.
  • Serving as 24-hour contact for customers and vessels.
  • Coordinating activities of operations department with regard to use of equipment, facilities, and crew.
  • Assisting personnel coordinator with maintenance of personnel files, work assignments and training records.

Must-haves:
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a clerical or customer service position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with course work after high school and job-related training or Associate's degree.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

FLSA Status
The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
