The Ecommerce Operations Manager is responsible for the management, promotion, and optimization of the enterprise ecommerce platform and owns the strategy to deliver an effective customer purchasing experience. Using analytics and ecommerce buying expertise, the ideal candidate will be responsible for concepting and implementing promotional campaigns and optimizing the user experience related to all ecommerce properties. He or she will also be responsible for identifying and implementing merchandising strategies that increase ecommerce sales and tracking promotion effectiveness. He or she will lead cross functional teams to deliver site performance insights with a focus on optimization and efficiencies. This candidate must be comfortable participating in high-level business strategy discussions, digging into details, and being hands-on with execution

Development



  • Oversee definition and implementation of end-to-end ecommerce customer purchase experience

  • Drive the growth of enterprise ecommerce product portfolio towards desired business targets

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to create and drive ecommerce marketing plans, editorial and campaign calendars, and budgets for marketing activities.

  • Develop and executes on the strategy for product launches, pricing, promotions, and other merchandising and ecommerce initiatives

Execution



  • Manage marketing campaigns from concept to completion through developing a project brief, working closely with internal partners to execute campaign and analyze post campaign data.

  • Increase the effectiveness of on-site search and navigation features

  • Inform and implement ongoing ecommerce visual merchandising strategy

  • Investigate new tools and plug-ins that facilitate store conversions.

  • Test and QA site content prior to production.

  • Work with marketing leaders, maintains a consistent and brand aligned look and feel throughout all interrelated web properties

  • Coordinate with internal legal and operations team to approve and set up store promotions

  • Manage ecommerce projects to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, and are of high quality

  • Keep stores up-to-date with respect to enterprise product offerings and ongoing site operations and maintenance

Analysis



  • Define methods for quantifying success (or failure) and clearly articulates them to relevant stakeholders and team members

  • Monitor analytics and improves traffic, conversion rates, and average order value across all ecommerce sites.

  • Use appropriate analytics, revenue forecasts, seasonal trends and other reporting, to review performance and apply site updates as needed and to effectively inform stakeholders

  • Oversee product merchandising, including optimizing product and category pages, funnel analysis, adjusting product merchandising to changes in metrics, and creating strategies for product up-sells and cross-sells.

  • Manage cross-sell program, including contributing to the strategy for which items should appear as cross-sell items, system/tool maintenance, monitoring to ensure results appear on site, reviewing and communicating results, performing analyses and making recommendations for improvements

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.



Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelors degree AND

  • Five (5) + years of full cycle eCommerce experience from implementation through operations AND

  • Two (2) + years of experience in eCommerce platforms or marketing to inform operational AND changes for improvement OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.



Other Required Qualifications:



  • Proven track record managing a portfolio of transactional products across ecommerce platforms

  • Detail oriented, structured and strategic in approach, and comfortable with change in a dynamic work environment

  • Expertise in the operations details required for end to end delivery of products and services to customers

  • Ability to effectively use data insights to drive decision making process

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business experts

  • Ability to maintain and grow internal and external relationships

  • Ability to prioritize and respond effectively to requests and needs of internal and external customers

  • Analytical thinking and hands-on approach to problem solving

  • Entrepreneurial drive and a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment

  • Strong work ethic and demonstrates resilience

  • Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Web proficiency

  • Ability to travel 5% of the time (minimal if any e.g. team building events, training)

  • Ability to clear background check

Desired Qualifications:



  • NetSuite and Magento experience

  • Experience with various consumer products, platforms, and/or services
