Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Electrical Specialist for our Enid, Oklahoma facility. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:





A Day In The Life Typically Includes:





  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical equipment up to 12.5kV (Electric Motors, Motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Electrical distribution, etc.)


  • Troubleshooting and basic root cause analysis of electrical problems in plant (up to 12.5kV).


  • Reading/interpreting technical work orders, blueprints, technical manuals, single line electrical drawings, schematics, electrical ladder diagrams, ladder logic, P&IDs and instrument loop drawings.


  • Installing, examining, replacing or repairing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components


  • Keeping accurate documentation of activities that include providing accurate and detailed feedback utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).


  • Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures including performing proper lockout/tag out procedures


  • Cleaning all areas of responsibility to maintain a safe work environment


  • Working in a team environment with fellow employees, supervisors and managers


  • Troubleshoot and maintain other plant equipment


  • Support other maintenance activities as well as additional duties as assigned



Basic Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience with testing, troubleshooting, installing and maintaining industrial electrical equipment


  • Experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and one lines


  • Experiencing working with safety procedures and driving a strong safety environment


  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment


  • Must be available for call outs (This is a chemical production facility operating 24 hours per day/7 days per week)


  • High school diploma or GED



Preferred Qualifications:







  • 5+ years experience working in an industrial environment (ammonia plant experience a plus)


  • Working knowledge of the NEC and NFPA 70E


  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, Protection Relays, High Resistant Ground systems


  • Technical or Trade School degree with emphasis in electricity


  • Oklahoma Electrical Journeyman License




Physical Requirements/Unusual Working Conditions:





  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights exceeding 50 ft.


  • Ability to life and carry up to 50 pounds


  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather


  • Must be able to pass a pulmonary breathing test, wear a gas mask type respirator and full Level A PPE
