Qualifications

  • College student majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Object oriented design knowledge
  • C/C++ programming skills, with understanding of its use in embedded systems
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Python or shell scripting
  • Knowledge bringing up and debugging hardware using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Knowledge of Network Protocols: Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth
  • Experience with common peripherals such as USB, I2C, I2S or SPI
  • Other helpful tools/tech: GNU Debugger, Make, CMake, Jira, Artifactory, Conan, Jenkins, Github
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with an enthusiastic and talented team of Software Engineers in the Out Loud Audio group to bring new products and compelling experiences to the market
  • Work with the Out Loud Audio engineering team to 1) create software development plans, 2) implement, test and troubleshoot code deliverables, 3) design, verify, and troubleshoot automated tests
  • Writing/modifying user space product code
  • Writing/modifying automated test scripts using Python
  • Writing/modifying device drivers and boot loaders on embedded systems
  • Absorb the relevant technologies at Bose and plug into the Bose Guilds to understand trends and opportunities in the Out Loud Audio group
