We are looking for a Concierge Engagement Manager to work closely with strategic Corporate Innovation Partner(s) to facilitate business development activities between the corporate partner's innovation team and the Techstars network of startups, industry experts, investors, and staff. Additionally, this individual will work across teams to supplement the Techstars Corporate Innovation offering of consultative innovation programming to Partners.

In this role, you will build relationships with leadership across the organization's business units to understand their innovation needs and work with the broader Techstars Worldwide Entrepreneur Network (applicants, founders, mentors, and investors) to consistently scout for relevant start-up companies and facilitate introductions and initial discovery between the start-up company and the corporate partner. You will also consult with the corporate partner on how to best engage with each startup and will make recommendations/ create opportunities for real engagement with companies, including facilitating introductions as appropriate.

You will work alongside Partner Managers, Managing Directors and Program Managers working closely with C-Suite and senior leadership to ensure a successful partnership that aligns and leverages the resources of the partner and Techstars to deliver the highest quality and most valuable experience for our corporate partners.

What you'll do:

  • Produce high-quality deliverables to build and scale the Techstars Corporate Innovation product offering
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to create additional network opportunities for Techstars Innovation Partners
  • Ideate on future iterations of network engagement with our partners, including experimenting with the value exchange across the network (ie founders and partners)
  • Establish mutual goals between the Corporate Partner and Techstars to ensure alignment
  • Secure buy-in from key stakeholders (internal and external) when rolling out new projects or new initiatives
  • Consult with the corporate partner and define the recruiting strategy for finding startup companies and resources that are a potential fit for investment and innovation strategy
  • Recruit startup companies from across the Techstars Entrepreneur Network for partner engagement
  • Build and deliver regular scouting reports and business reviews for the corporate partner
  • Ad Hoc introductions to companies, innovation leaders across our partner network, and industry experts according to innovation goals
  • Resolve issues and challenges impeding Techstars success
  • Responsible for maintaining organized account records, including profiles and program reports and maintaining those in the company CRM, Salesforce.com.

About You:
  • 3-6 years years of experience in client-facing business development or corporate innovation work
  • The idea of working cross-functionally across Techstars and with other companies to drive innovative solutions and ideas excites you
  • knowledge of both the corporate and startup world and are able to act as a "translator" between the two (experience with corporate transformation projects is a plus)
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate strategically to high-level executives
  • Creative problem solver with situational adaptability.
  • Great active listening skills with a high level of intellectual curiosity. You see opportunity and growth in learning more about what you do and how it impacts others.
  • Can work effectively independently as well as in a team environment and has the ability to influence people you don't manage
  • Incredibly self-driven and organized

  • Bachelor's Degree minimum from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to travel locally, nationally, and potentially internationally (up to 35% travel is expected)
