Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepares and processes engineering tests and samples in accordance with instructions from the engineering team.
  • Measures outcomes of experiments and reports to engineering group in both verbal and written formats.
  • Maintains accurate records of process parameters.
  • Supports the evolution and maintenance of a complete set of ISO compliant polishing and clean room procedures.
  • Actively participates in 5S initiatives. Works to ensure 5S is followed in all areas. Follows all safety and health regulations and procedures.
  • Participates in the equipment maintenance programs.
  • Actively participates in engineering experiments, qualification tests and proof-of-concept tests of process equipment
  • Actively participates in maintaining and calibrating metrology and cleaning equipment
  • Actively participates in the design and acquisition of custom parts for metrology and cleaning tools.
  • Participates in troubleshooting of metrology and cleaning equipment when malfunctions occur and identifies causes. Participates in in-house equipment repairs that restore it to operating condition.
  • Actively participates in engineering staff meetings.

  • Associates degree preferred in an engineering discipline. High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College level courses in math, physics, metrology, or chemistry are preferred.
  • Current enrollment of engineering discipline is preferred.

  • One to three years direct experience in a technical role.
  • Experience in production environment preferred.
  • Experience in testing and data analysis, process improvement and equipment maintenance preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access data base, email, internet access.
  • ITAR compliance requirement: Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Special Skills:
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as a part of normal work schedule.
  • Must be technically inclined with good mechanical skills.
  • Must be well organized, able to perform several tasks in parallel and work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be computer-literate to operate computer-controlled furnaces and make data entry.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
  • Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
  • Handle special assignments promptly and professionally

Maintains order and 5S initiatives in all production areas. Participates in equipment calibration and maintenance programs.
