Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Project Manager in Minneapolis Minnesota to support growing project work for various energy and renewable energy development clients in the upper Midwest. The Project Manager will have demonstrated success managing complex environmental permitting projects. This role will support several existing Arcadis clients as well as supporting the development of new and existing client relationships.

Role accountabilities:

  • Manage and oversee project teams to support a variety of environmental permitting and planning projects.
  • Manage various energy development projects including renewable energy, industrial biogas facilities, natural gas transmission projects, and electrical transmission projects.
  • Manage large project teams of staff that includes various scientists, technical specialists, and engineers to meet aggressive schedule needs.
  • Manage the development of permit applications, including state and federal USACE Section 404/Section 10 permits and Section 401 Water Quality Certification; Conduct environmental assessments associated with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state environmental review reviews.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and lead federal, state and local agency consultations to obtain project approvals.
  • Lead the growth of new and existing client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or similar environmental discipline
  • 10-15+ years of experience managing environmental permitting projects in the Mid-West and throughout the United States.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and excellent client management skills;
  • Demonstrated success leading large project teams while managing complex projects and client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience permitting projects in various Mid-West states including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa
  • Project Management Professional certification (Project Management Institute)
