**Job Description:**

Responsible for developing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as maintain corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Employees are expected to have in-depth global markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Coordinates resources across various applications, operations or projects. Manages employees and makes all decisions on personnel actions including staffing, performance management and comp decision-making. Monitors progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for employees supporting Global Markets.

The eTrading front office technology team develops and supports the front-office Electronic Trading applications responsible for electronically pricing, market making, and hedging in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

**_Role Specific Responsibilities:_**

This role will involve working directly with Front Office Traders and Strat Developers to build new server side components for market making, pricing, and hedging as part of a multi-year transformation of the electronic trading business. The role will require close interaction with the traders, and strats, working with them to understand requirements and developing and/or enhancing existing solutions to meet their needs.

+ Work directly with Rates Strategist group to build business-facing technical solutions (Cash and Derivatives pricing and hedging)

+ Work closely with Rates development team to integrate new solutions into overall architecture

+ Build and extend key components of the next generation Rates architecture for Electronic Trading

+ Develop robust systems with an eye towards performance, supportability and maintainability

+ Strong development practices including pairing, code reviews, unit testing and regression testing

+ Collaborative attitude when interacting with other developers, support, and front-office


+ 10+ years experience leading global teams preferably within eTrading / Rates

+ Strong in any programming language (Python, Java, C++)

+ Continuous track record of developing high performance user interface tools.

+ Must be a self-starter, independent thinker with excellent communication.

+ Ability to work in fast development environment and adapt quickly.

+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

+ Excellent communication, written skills and ability to work with senior tech/business management.
