We are in search for an Executive Chef for our South Dining Hall which is rich with tradition. Someone who can take command of the operations of a kitchen, and is committed to train and develop their team. We are looking for the type of leadership in excellence which would help bring our campus dining to the highest level.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Here are the specifics:Culinary Degree with an education rooted in the culinary arts and sciences.Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Food Service, Management, Culinary Management or related field in culinary principles and management.5 - 6 years’ experienceUnderstanding of and strong commitment to the role of community dining in support of the University’s residential mission. Strong ability to manage and promote a productive, passionate and safe work environment. Strong ability to lead all culinary techniques, issues and problems.
    Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a diverse group that includes students, staff, faculty, parents, and the public. Effective planning, organizing, and time management skills. Ability to anticipate and solve problems. Experience in staff management within the context of a diverse and inclusive environment.Qualifications needed: SERVSAFE, Aller-Train and National Restaurant Association Sanitation certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)Certified Executive Chef (C.E.E) designation (must be obtained within 1 year of hire)Strong understanding of University dining program business systems (Cbord, FMS, LeanPath, NetNutrition, Banner, etc.) budget development process, sound accounting practices applied to purchasing and inventory, cost control methods and strategies for food, labor, and other operating expense, and profit & Loss responsibilities.Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of people and work in a fast-paced environment. Be welcoming, sincere and provide a great hospitality experience for all university students, faculty/staff, guests and visitors.
