About this role:

Provide strategic advice to senior leaders in government on cyber security, digital transformation and informed use of leading-edge technologies.

Create scalable tools and content based on Gartner content and industry best practices to help IT Executives across the globe improve their cyber readiness.

What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders in government on cyber-readiness, digital transformation, and informed use of leading-edge technologies.
  • Work as a thought leader in public sector cyber security and actively collaborate with experts inside and outside Gartner and take advantage of Gartner's unparalleled scale:
  • Develop content, tools, and resources for Executives and Gartner peers to use globally, such as
    • High Impact Workshops
    • Data-driven benchmarks
    • Self-Service Assessments
    • Reusable client facing consultation materials
  • Host or participate in a range of direct client engagements alongside your teammates leveraging your unique areas of expertise:
    • Interactive workshops
    • Analyst led research briefings
    • Peer roundtables
    • Interactive virtual webinars
    • Executive level discussions
    • Gartner Conferences
  • Help EPs develop engagement plans, shape client MCPs, and solve problems in content areas aligned to ExPert Partners area of expertise.
  • Be responsible for member retention and contribute toward growth; Expert Partners do not have a sales quota but they do support our Gartner Sales colleagues in prospect cultivation, account plan development, and value demonstration activities.
  • Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member needs and developing a customized value plan in accordance with overall EXP strategy and EXP product deliverables
  • Shape the future of Executive Programs by participating in pilot programs and/or contextualizing initiatives to regional differences.
  • Work in a combination of onsite and virtual settings to scale your influence and maximize your time

What you'll need:

  • Leadership experience in the A university graduate (Masters preferred) with 15+ years of experience working as a CIO or Consultant, or in a Senior management role within an IT capacity
  • An in-depth understanding of the IT industry and the role of the CIO (including leadership, operations management, strategy and trends, use of metrics, etc.)
  • An in depth understanding of US Federal government policies and directives governing cyber security and information security
  • In depth understanding of the business value of IT, the alignment of business and IT strategies, and leading edge technologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Federal / Public Sector Experience
