The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures invites applications for an open-rank tenured/tenure-track position in Italian Cinema and/or Modern Literature (20th and 21st centuries) to begin August 2018. The successful candidate will demonstrate scholarly excellence and a commitment to both graduate and undergraduate teaching. He or she will demonstrate aptitude for program leadership in the Italian Studies Program (https://italianstudies.nd.edu). In particular, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of film studies at Notre Dame and of the Christopher Wagstaff Film Collection (https://italianstudies.nd.edu/research-opportunities/christopher-g-wagstaff-film-collection/). We also welcome applications from candidates engaged in work in the Digital Humanities.
