Job Description

About the role:

The Finance Business Partner Lead will work with all facets of the Thousand Oaks organization as an important financial and strategic partner to support the goals and growth of this manufacturing Site. You will report to the Finance Site Head. You will develop an understanding of the commercial manufacturing processes, have an intrinsic curiosity about the pharmaceutical industry, and an eagerness to collaborate in solving complex challenges.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for forecasting, budgeting, metrics reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and create in-depth financial models and business analysis.
  • Partner with cross functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other teams to evaluate our performance and evaluate and build strategic opportunities.
  • Lead FP&A activities (Monthly Close, Budget, Long Range Operating Plans, and other forecasts) for the entire manufacturing site, including evaluation of performance relative to forecast and targets and presentation of financial results to both senior and executive leadership.
  • Partner with the Global Manufacturing organization to evaluate investment opportunities, assess our performance, and guide progress on transformation goals.
  • Ensure integrity of reported financial results by maintaining reporting models and databases.
  • Create financial models to lead and improve manufacturing capacity utilizations and manufacturing operations.
  • Designated as super user on SAP application and other internal systems.

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • In-depth experience in financial analysis, planning, zero-based budgeting, corporate accounting and operations accounting, assets, leases, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Knowledge in financial planning and business investment analysis modeling (NPV, Return on investment).
  • Familiar with scenario planning and predictive analytics-driven forecasting.

  • Understand digital Finance trends and use new technologies to enhance the quality of forecasting and predictive modeling.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Master's degree and 6+ years of Accounting and/or Finance experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Accounting and/or Finance experience.
  • Financial analysis experience supporting decision-making
  • Collaborator who can navigate across a global, matrixed organization
  • Analytical skill with the ability to summarize large amounts of data and financial modeling
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry
  • Excellent systems skills (SAP, JDEwards, Power BI, Tableau, Word, and Access).

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:

  • May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • May work in a cold, hot or wet environment.
  • May work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours,.
  • May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
