In this position you'll be expected to: Focus on partnering with and supporting the site operations and project teams at both Melbourne, FL and Orlando, FL in order to establish and achieve financial goals and objectives. This role will work across the multiple growing business units that operate on site. Here is an idea of what you'll be accountable for:
  • Financial reporting and program cost control for multiple business units within the Space and Defense Group and across two sites and two ERP systems.
  • Develop the annual sales plan for the sites, monitoring performance to the plan, and preparing updated sales forecasts.
  • Assess and report on the profitability and cash flow performance of the sites making the appropriate recommendations to help achieve the overall strategic financial growth of the Space and Defense Group.
  • Responsible for several long-term programs, which include analyzing actual costs incurred, preparing estimates to complete, and utilizing sound judgment to assess profitability of the programs.
  • Responsible for the accounting on these programs (i.e. sales, cost, inventory, and invoicing).
  • Effectively communicate program cost and status to all levels of the Group's management structure, internal customers, and internal/external auditors.
  • Participate in the Group's annual budget process, and will be involved in developing departmental budgets and profit and loss statements.
  • Support the month end financial closing process and participate in the other financial accounting projects.
Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
  • 5-7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups, multi-task, deal with difficult situations and be able to work on deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability to communicate across different levels of the organization and be a problem solver.
* MBA or CPA certificate and people management experience is highly preferred
