Summary of key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Business Managers supporting their respective OEM customer teams, and with interactions with internal managers, during the monthly estimate, Plan, and Business Strategy Review processes.
  • Analyze all financial aspects of the business to recommend actions to maximize profitability and achieve long-term growth.
  • Gather the appropriate data and assumptions to analyze the profitability of commercial actions through development of business cases
  • Formulate and recommend pricing strategies, based on customer value and product profitability analyses
  • Analyze all financial aspects of the business to recommend actions to maximize profitability and achieve long-term growth
  • Provide financial data to assist in preparation of Automotive Coatings' annual budgets, BSR, and LRP.
  • Provide monthly deviation analysis on results including Sales, PC Margin, Overheads, Other Income & Expense, Working Capital, and Cash flow
  • Gather and analyze all necessary market, competitive, and economic data to assist in strategy development, new product planning, and analysis of new business opportunities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.
  • Support the PPG Chrysler team in the management their material usages by plant within the established and agreed upon terms and conditions. Work with Chrysler Materials Management and Purchasing functions to review PO's for changes through EDI notifications
  • FOCUS updating, monthly reporting, and Ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Development of competitive market analysis
  • Research, write, and provide necessary economic justification for all capital investment projects (ACT's).

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related discipline, business-related field
  • 2-5 years of experience with (HFM) Hyperion Financial Management
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of PPG's systems, financial policies and procedures, and excellent PC skills.

Preferred Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Possess broad business and financial skills.
  • Ability to work well and liaison with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter

Travel Requirement:

  • Open office environment; travel will be at minimum, 10%.
