The Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate finance organization, including strategy, implementation, enterprise risk management and internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement and investor relations. These functional areas enable corporate profitability and success by ensuring cost savings and efficiencies, sound reporting of results and accurate forecasts.


Perspecta is hiring for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead to work in our Basking Ridge, New Jersey office. This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will be the Perspecta Labs FP&A Lead and will be coordinating the Companys financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. This role will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, and other projects requested by senior management. This function provides key analytical support to the Finance director to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
  • Coordinate month-end and quarter point closing processes, by communicating key deadlines to the program finance staff, providing inputs to central finance, and analyzing/rolling up results
  • Support the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly reports (to include Monthly Budgeting Review and Quarterly Contract Status Review chart packages)
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Supporting the Finance Director with in-depth analysis



  • Bachelor's Degree plus 10 to 12 years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree plus 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with at least 4 years of management level responsibility is required.
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial reporting and forecasting, accounting, and budgeting is required
  • Strong leadership skills with projects and initiatives is required
  • Government contracting industry experience is strongly preferred
  • FAR and CAS knowledge and experience is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills are required
  • Experience in successfully managing and prioritizing multiple deliverables is required
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Perspecta Financial systems (Costpoint, Hyperion PRISM) is preferred
  • MBA is preferred
