Position Summary

 

The Finishing Technician is responsible for all production, specific to the work areas, working under current GMP’s. Controls and maintains area specific inventories using ERP System.
 

Essential Functions

 

  • Fills, caps, labels products while performing visual inspections in accordance with Device Master Record
  • Assures the correct labeling is applied to the product, enters daily production into computer
  • Performs and documents line clearances before each operations.  Performs reconciliations and reports any discrepancies immediately
  • Prepares filing units, generates labels for accountability boxes, performs balance verifications and orders batch records
  • Assures adequate inventory to meet weekly production schedule, reports defects to supervisor
  • Verifies all batch records, SOPs and specs are up to date and reflect the current procedures
  • Provides assistance in other operations as requested
  • Assures that all operations are performed according to SOPS and reports immediately any deviations from procedures to supervisor
  • Identifies quality problems and recommends solutions to supervisor
  • Provides and verifies training on the proper use of all applicable batch records, SOPS and specifications
  • Assures that all batch records are accurately completed
  • Maintains all working areas in a clean an orderly state
  • Assures products are stored, segregated, identified
  • Disposes of damaged, rejected or residual components according to SOPS, reports product complaints
  • Assures that all equipment is safe and all safety procedures are followed.  Assures that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and validated prior to use
  • Follows all company environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines and conducts work in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree in life sciences preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in diagnostics/pharmaceutical industry or knowledge of lab equipment
  • Knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, and batch records.
  • Required to perform visual inspections of equipment and product
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to work with radiation, human and animal serum
  • Ability to operate and enter data into a personal c computer
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Excellent attendance required
